Someone Like You - Adele (4.5/5)

Following the fiery toe-tapping pop of "Rolling in the Deep," British singer Adele reigns in the drama and booming vocal performance for the more restraint, luscious piano-laced ballad "Someone Like You," the 2nd single lifted from the singer's sophomore album 21. It's a wonderful heart-felt number, definitely one of the best on the album however I was also pretty excited for the more radio-friendly "Set Fire to the Rain," which I thought was being considered for the 2nd single instead.

Feel Good - Modestep (4/5)

Another great dub-step track to emerge from recent times. "Feel Good" is the first single released from British dub-step group Modestep--I would go into detail, but I'm sure you all know what dub-step sounds like by now--blaring electronic bass lines, hammering synth-undertones and so on.

The Lazy Song - Bruno Mars (3.5/5)

"Put the TV on, trow my hands in my pants," a far cry from woman-wooing lyrics of "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade." How are you going to caress her hair or catch a grenade with your hands in your pants, Mars? This jaunty guitar-driven number sees Mars at his most amiable--it's a cool song, however I do think the even more laidback "Our First Time" would have made a better single.

Space Bound - Eminem (3.5/5)

While I've enjoyed Eminem's latest album Recovery a lot, I haven't really cared for any of its singles, apart from "Love the Way You Lie." It's fourth release doesn't necessarily reignite the love I had for "Lie," but "Space Bound" is pretty good--haunting, guitar-driven at the same time radio-friendly.

Born This Way - Lady Gaga (3/5)

Yes, the new Lady Gaga single is out! "Born This Way," the lead single from her forthcoming sophomore (or third) album of the same name. Unfortunately, while the rest of the world loses their rags over the disco-tinged, Madonna influenced cut, I just can't get into it. If anything, it's a bit of a let-down, especially after Gaga set such a high standard of pop with "Bad Romance" pop-genius at its finest.

I've been thinking if she put out something similar to the uber awesome Bad Romance, ppl might diss her for repeating the same old thing. And when she does something some sort of a homage to Madonnna, people might not be into it and compare it to Bad Romance, what a Lady gotta do here! Hmph!

Anyway, surprisingly I love the song more than I expect it to be. To be honest, when she released the lyric of BTW, it's a bit cheesy! Hehe, but it fits so well with the song arrangement!

Oh, Someone Like You is a definite highlight of 21 and I hafta agree that Set Fire To The Rain is equally awesome.

Phew! That's long.

It's doing so well! It broke every record Britney set with "HIAM" including first week sales and first week airplay spins.
