Britney Spears "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart"

Release: February 1, 2000

1. From the Bottom of My Broken Heart
2. (You Drive Me) Crazy

Producer: Eric Foster White
Writer: Eric Foster White

Billboard Hot 100: #14

"From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" was the third US and final single released from, ...Baby One More Time. The release of the single was the result of "Born to Make You Happy" being released in Europe around the same time. The song was among the first recorded for Spears' first album, which started recording in 1997, it was the first time she collaborated with Pornographic director and writer, Eric Foster White, who also directed its accompanying video, which saw caused minimal controversy.

"From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" is probably my least favorite Britney ballad. Whilst acquiring a nice melody, I find quite bland, the chorus is so so, nothing special, "Sometimes" outshines it by far. Although I'm not a fan of the song, the video is among Spears' best work, probably the most least remembered, but I really like it, It has a really good storyline and of course she looks fantastic in every scene.

This is a pretty song, but not a knock out. I like Britney's hat in the video.
